Banswara, September 25 (Udaipur Kiran): Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the Rajasthan government led by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, saying it is working with full honesty and commitment towards the state’s development. He remarked that the present government is healing the “wounds” left behind by the previous administration.

Addressing a public gathering in Banswara during the inauguration and foundation stone laying of multiple development projects, PM Modi sharply criticised the former state government.

Criticism of Previous Regime

PM Modi said:

  • Rajasthan had become a “hub of paper leaks”.

  • The Jal Jeevan Mission had fallen prey to corruption.

  • Crimes against women were at their peak.

  • Regions like Banswara, Dungarpur, and Pratapgarh witnessed a rise in crime and illegal liquor trade.

Development Under Current Government

The Prime Minister stressed that since the formation of the BJP government, law and order has been strengthened, and development projects have gained momentum. He highlighted that:

  • Large-scale infrastructure projects are being implemented in the state.

  • A strong network of highways and expressways is being built, which will give new direction to Rajasthan’s growth.

PM Modi said the current government is focused on bringing prosperity and long-term progress to the people of Rajasthan.
