Jaipur, September 8 (Udaipur Kiran). In a tragic incident, Dr. Anil Bhardwaj (55), a medical officer from Udaipur and Director of Kalpana Nursing Home, died after falling from a moving train at Jaipur Railway Station on Monday morning.
According to GRP officials, Dr. Bhardwaj had travelled from Udaipur to Jaipur by the Khajuraho Express. When the train reached Jaipur around 5:30 am, he reportedly did not wake up on time. As the train began to move, he rushed to disembark with his belongings. In the haste, he slipped and fell under the train, suffering fatal injuries.
GRP Station Officer Arun Chaudhary confirmed that the case has been registered. Identification was made through documents and a mobile phone found in his possession. His family was immediately informed.
ASI Jagdish Meena said the body was sent to SMS Hospital for post-mortem and later handed over to the family. Items recovered from his purse—including ₹60,000 in cash, gold ornaments, and an iPhone—were also returned to the relatives.
Dr. Bhardwaj’s sudden death has come as a shock to the medical community in Udaipur.
