Tata Motors Hands Over LP Trim Line Operations Entirely to Women Workforce | Udaipur Kiran


Purbi Singhbhum, September 5 (Udaipur Kiran) — In a major step towards empowering women and recognizing their contribution to the workforce, Tata Motors has handed over the complete operations of its LP Trim Line (Fitment Line) at Plant 3 to women employees.

The inauguration took place on Friday in the presence of Plant Head Sunil Tiwari, Tata Motors Workers Union President Shashi Bhushan Prasad, General Secretary R.K. Singh, Division Head Kiran Narendran, HR Head Pranav Kumar, and other senior management officials.

A New Chapter of Women Empowerment at Tata Motors

The ribbon-cutting ceremony marked a symbolic moment as the LP Trim Line was officially entrusted to women employees. During the event, women workers were seen working with discipline, dedication, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Following the inauguration, Plant Head Sunil Tiwari interacted with the women employees, stressing the importance of safety, service, and discipline on the shop floor. He encouraged them to work in a friendly yet professional atmosphere, ensuring that safety standards remain the top priority. He also instructed the line in-charge to implement minor improvements wherever required.

Leaders Express Confidence in Women’s Capabilities

Union General Secretary R.K. Singh assured management that the women workforce would fully meet expectations. He praised the initiative as a progressive and visionary move towards eliminating gender bias in the workplace. Singh further highlighted that women have already proven their abilities across fields — from grassroots to space exploration — and only need opportunities to excel.

Union President Shashi Bhushan Prasad expressed full confidence that women employees would run the line smoothly. He reminded them to always keep safety as their foremost priority while setting an example of discipline and efficiency for others.

Commitment to Inclusive Growth

This initiative is being seen as a landmark effort by Tata Motors in fostering inclusivity and strengthening gender diversity in the auto industry. By entrusting an entire production line to women, the company aims to create a model of empowerment, discipline, and workplace equality.
