Tamil Nadu Government Reshuffles IAS and IPS Officers


Chennai, July 14: The Tamil Nadu government has made significant administrative changes by issuing orders for the transfer and new appointments of senior IAS and IPS officers. The government has clarified that all orders will take immediate effect.

According to the orders released by the Home (Special Cell) Department, A. Arun, IPS, who was serving as the Additional Director General of Police and Director at the Anti-Corruption and Vigilance Directorate, has been transferred and appointed as the Additional Director General of Police and Director at the Tamil Nadu Police Academy located in Unnamancheri, Chennai.

Meanwhile, C. Mangeshwari, IPS, currently serving as Inspector General of Police in the Special Investigation Cell-1 of the DVAC, has been given full additional charge as Additional Director General of Police and Director of DVAC until further notice.

Additionally, several senior IAS officers have also been transferred under the orders issued by Chief Secretary M. Sai Kumar. As per the orders, H. Krishnanunni, IAS, currently the Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Medical Services Corporation, has been transferred and appointed as the Director of the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services Department, replacing S.P. Amrit, IAS. Shilpa Prabhakar Satish, IAS, who was serving as the Labour Commissioner, has been sent to be appointed as the Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation, taking over from Dr. P. Umanath, IAS.

Furthermore, S.P. Amrit, IAS, who was the Director of the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services Department, has been appointed as the Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Medical Services Corporation, succeeding H. Krishnanunni.

The government stated that the conditions related to the foreign service deputation of Shilpa Prabhakar Satish and S.P. Amrit will be applicable as per the provisions of G.O.M.S. No. 167, Public (Special-A) Department dated February 21, 1994. This administrative reshuffle by the Tamil Nadu government is seen as a significant step towards enhancing efficiency across various departments and strengthening the administrative framework.
