Union Minister to Inaugurate Seven ESI Health Projects on July 14


New Delhi, July 12: Union Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, will inaugurate seven Employee State Insurance (ESI) health service projects across the country on July 14, 2026, from the ESI Hospital in Sanathnagar, Telangana. This announcement was made by the Ministry of Labour and Employment on Sunday.

According to the ministry’s statement, the minister will physically inaugurate the new OPD block at the Sanathnagar ESI Hospital and will virtually inaugurate six other projects. These include a 200-bed advanced ESI Hospital in Beltola, Assam; a 100-bed ESI Hospital in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu; an ESI Hospital in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh; an ESI dispensary and branch office in Surendranagar, Gujarat; an ESI dispensary and branch office in Kota, Rajasthan; and an ESI dispensary in Bhawani Mandi, Rajasthan.

These medical facilities, built at a cost of approximately ₹668 crore, will cater to the health needs of around 5.3 million beneficiaries across the country.

The ministry elaborated that the new OPD block at the ESI Medical College and Hospital in Sanathnagar is a historic health facility that will provide modern and comprehensive services to 1,230,183 insured individuals and beneficiaries across Telangana, including Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Sangareddy, Ranga Reddy, and Mahbubnagar districts.

The ESI Hospital in Beltola will serve people from 47 districts in Assam and Meghalaya, as well as 41 districts in Tripura, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, and Arunachal Pradesh, benefiting approximately 342,000 insured individuals and a total of around 1.3 million beneficiaries.

The 100-bed ESI Hospital in Sriperumbudur is located in one of India’s major manufacturing and electronics hubs. The hospital will offer facilities such as OPD, emergency room, delivery room, operation theatre, ICU, IPD, X-ray, and lab pharmacy, making it easier for over 550,000 insured individuals from Kanchipuram and Tiruvallur districts to access medical services.

In Surendranagar district, approximately 9,192 insured individuals will be covered under the ESI scheme. The ESI dispensary and branch office will assist around 35,000 beneficiaries in availing ESI medical care and social security benefits. This integrated facility will provide primary health services, medical consultations, essential medicines, and other medical benefits all under one roof.

The ESI dispensary and branch office in Kota will serve a large number of insured workers and their dependents residing and working in the industrial area of Kota. This facility will benefit over 1,500 employers and approximately 75,000 insured individuals along with their 291,000 dependents.
