A batch of students from the United States visited natural farming fields in Kuppam Assembly constituency on Tuesday and Wednesday as part of an academic tour to study sustainable agricultural practices under the Andhra Pradesh Community Managed Natural Farming (APCNF) programme.

The students interacted with farmers in M.K. Puram village of Shanthipuram mandal and Cheldiganipalli and Pedaganuru villages in Ramakuppam mandal. Farmers explained various cultivation practices, crop management techniques, and the preparation and application of Jeevamrutham, Ghanajeevamrutham and other cow-based natural farming formulations.

The visiting students toured the fields to observe natural farming practices first-hand and exchanged views with farmers on their experiences and the benefits of the cultivation method.

Agricultural Market Committee, Kuppam, Chairman V. He said the initiative aimed to improve soil health, enhance farmers’ incomes and promote sustainable agriculture.
