Anjali Anand Shares Excitement About Joining Dhamal 4

Mumbai, July 4: Actress Anjali Anand expressed her excitement about being part of the upcoming film ‘Dhamal 4’, describing it as a dream come true. She shared that the set was filled with laughter and fun every day. Anand recounted her first meeting with actor Riteish Deshmukh, where they broke the ice using a dialogue from the film ‘Hey Baby’.

In an exclusive conversation, Anand mentioned that it is a significant milestone for her, as she was quite young when the first ‘Dhamal’ film was released and enjoyed it immensely. She never imagined she would be part of the fourth installment of this popular franchise. Feeling extremely lucky and grateful for the opportunity, she expressed hope that audiences would enjoy the film.

Recalling her initial reaction to receiving the film offer, Anand said she was completely astonished. Being part of such a big and beloved franchise felt unbelievable to her. She still finds it hard to believe that she has worked in films like ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’, participated in ‘Dhamal 4’, and appeared in shows on Netflix and Sony. She feels overwhelmed, believing she still has much more to achieve.

Discussing her character Paro, Anand highlighted her inner strength and pure heart, which will be evident throughout the film. When asked about the similarities between Paro and herself, she noted that while they share some traits, Paro’s strength is more subdued compared to her own more vocal nature.

On the challenges of comedy, Anand expressed confidence in her comic timing and hopes that the audience will appreciate it. Talking about her chemistry with Riteish Deshmukh, she recalled their memorable first meeting, where she told him she was a huge fan of his films and dialogues. Deshmukh was surprised that she remembered so many of his lines, and they began their conversation referencing a scene from ‘Hey Baby’.

When asked about pranks with Ajay Devgn, Anand mentioned that the set was always lively, with everyone teasing each other. She described director Indra Kumar as the biggest child on set, making the experience fantastic for the entire team.

Addressing the current lack of comedy films, Anand stated that ‘Dhamal 4’ will remind audiences of the fun and adventure-filled films of the past. It is not just a horror comedy or action comedy but an adventure comedy with its unique identity. The film promises plenty of physical comedy, a hallmark of the franchise, and is a family-friendly film suitable for children.

Anand revealed that the first scene of the film was the most challenging, involving ten actors hanging in a line for the shoot. Despite initial confusion, they successfully completed the shoot. She emphasized that having the opportunity to reprise a character in a franchise is a significant achievement for any actor, and it would bring her immense joy if audiences love her character enough to see it in future installments.

Reflecting on her experience working with director Indra Kumar, Anand felt fortunate to collaborate with someone who has directed many iconic films. Their first meeting involved discussions about his past films, which likely led him to believe she was a perfect fit for the ‘Dhamal’ universe.

Regarding typecasting in the film industry, Anand mentioned that she has played various roles and hopes to continue receiving diverse opportunities in the future. She acknowledged the impact of OTT platforms, stating they provide actors with the chance to experiment with different characters. Unlike theatrical releases, which need to appeal to a broad audience, OTT allows for content tailored to varied viewer preferences. She remains grateful for the opportunities that OTT has provided.

In a message to her fans, Anand expressed disbelief at having supporters and thanked them for their love and support. She urged everyone to watch ‘Dhamal 4’ and share their thoughts with others to help her gain recognition as a new artist.
