Mumbai, July 2: The Maharashtra government will organize workshops at the state and district levels for the effective and smooth implementation of the developed Bharat-Employment and Livelihood Mission (Rural), known as the VB-G Ramji Scheme. Minister Shambhuraj Desai announced this in the Assembly.
Desai stated that a special workshop for legislators will be held at the state level to simplify the implementation of the scheme’s provisions and effectively incorporate key elements from previous schemes. This workshop will provide detailed information about the main features of the new scheme and the implementation of provisions included from older schemes.
To effectively disseminate information about the scheme to public representatives, similar workshops will also be organized for village panchayat members, panchayat samiti members, and district council members in each district. The aim of these workshops is to ensure that local representatives have complete information about the scheme and to facilitate its effective implementation at the grassroots level. This issue was raised in the Assembly by MLA Narayan Kuche, with supplementary questions from MLAs Rajkumar Badole and Atul Bhosale.
Meanwhile, the issue of MLA Sajid Pathan allegedly receiving threatening phone calls echoed in the Maharashtra Assembly on Thursday. The opposition accused the government of negligence, leading to a significant uproar. Congress Legislative Party leader Vijay Wadettiwar raised the matter through a suspension motion and demanded immediate action from the government. Minister Nitesh Rane stated that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had already clarified the government’s stance on this issue.
Minister Shambhuraj Desai assured that the government would take the complaint seriously and requested the concerned MLA to provide detailed information about the matter. Dissatisfied with the government’s response, the opposition alleged that the government was avoiding discussions on this issue as well as important topics related to farmers. In protest, opposition members shouted slogans and walked out of the Assembly.
