Modi and Iran President Discuss Peaceful Solutions

New Delhi, July 1: The recent telephone conversation between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has sparked reactions in the political landscape of the country. This dialogue is seen as a significant step towards strengthening India-Iran relations and enhancing regional stability.

BJP National Spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain stated in an interview that Prime Minister Modi’s conversation is set to further advance the longstanding and robust ties between India and Iran. He emphasized that India has always followed an independent foreign policy, maintaining balanced relations with all countries without joining any bloc. According to him, this dialogue will provide a new direction for cooperation between the two nations.

Senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi also supported the conversation, noting that Prime Minister Modi has consistently advocated for peace, stability, and security on a global scale. He believes that the resolution of any crisis is possible not through war, but through dialogue and mutual understanding. In the current international context, the role of dialogue and diplomacy becomes even more crucial.

BJP National Spokesperson Ajay Alok remarked that Prime Minister Modi is actively engaged in diplomatic efforts to end ongoing global conflicts. He stressed that war does not solve any problems and is detrimental to all parties involved. Any disruption in maritime routes is harmful not only to developing countries but also to the economies of developed nations.

Alok further stated that India and Iran have maintained good relations for a long time, and Prime Minister Modi’s conversation reflects his concern for the Iranian people. He emphasized the need to ensure smooth global trade and energy supply.

He added, “The Prime Minister is fully committed to ending this war globally. He firmly believes that solutions to any issues can only be achieved through diplomatic efforts. Dialogue is the way forward; war is not a solution.”

Meanwhile, Janata Dal (United) MLC Neeraj Kumar welcomed the conversation, stating that the ongoing tensions in West Asia pose economic challenges for the entire world. In this context, India’s role and its diplomatic engagement become extremely important. He described it as a positive and reassuring initiative.
