Water Crisis Worries Actress Kanika Maheshwari

Mumbai, June 30: Television actress Kanika Maheshwari has expressed her concerns regarding the escalating water crisis in Mumbai. She stated that the shortage of water is an issue that alters people’s daily routines significantly. Kanika has urged the government to find a permanent solution to this problem.

Kanika Maheshwari remarked, “The lack of water affects every small and big task. When you wake up in the morning worrying about whether there will be enough water for cooking, cleaning, or daily hygiene, you realize how precious something like water truly is. We often talk about city development and better facilities, but the first necessity for a dignified life is a regular supply of clean water.”

She added, “The continuous water shortage forces people to change their lifestyles. Where once people enjoyed long showers, now they have to bathe with a bucket to conserve water. Every liter of water is used thoughtfully. You start monitoring your water consumption beyond your needs. This issue affects thousands of families daily. Until someone experiences this situation firsthand, it is hard to understand the mental burden it carries.”

Kanika emphasized, “It is time to view water management as a long-term plan. As cities continue to grow, the water supply system should be strengthened accordingly. People should not be forced to adapt their lives every time there is a water shortage. A clean and regular water supply is not a luxury but a fundamental right for every family.”

She concluded, “The habit of conserving water should not only be during times of crisis. We must prevent water wastage in our daily lives. Leaks should be fixed immediately, and water should be reused as much as possible while adopting small precautions. If every individual understands their responsibility, we can collectively bring about significant change. Every drop saved today can secure tomorrow.”
