Jaipur, February 9, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday caught a Pension Department officer red-handed while accepting a bribe of ₹10,000 in Jaipur.
Acting on the directions of the ACB Headquarters, the ACB Jaipur City Fourth Unit arrested Rajesh Kumar Khandelwal, Assistant Accounts Officer (Second Grade) posted in the Pension Department at Lalkothi, Jaipur. The accused was detained while accepting the bribe amount from the complainant.
According to the ACB, a complaint was received stating that after the death of the complainant’s father, his mother was not receiving her full pension. It was alleged that the accused demanded ₹10,000 as a bribe to process the full pension, along with an additional demand of 10 per cent of the pending arrears amount. The initial demand was reportedly made on January 19, 2026.
Following verification, a trap was laid, and the accused accepted ₹10,000 from the complainant, after which the amount was recovered on the spot.
The action was carried out under the supervision of ACB Jaipur Range Deputy Inspector General Anand Sharma. The trap operation was led by Additional Superintendent of Police Gyan Prakash Naval, along with Inspector Ramji Lal and other team members of the ACB Jaipur City Fourth Unit.
Further questioning of the accused is underway to ascertain the involvement of others. Under the supervision of ACB Director General Satyendra Kumar, the bureau has registered a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act and initiated further investigation.
