8.2 Kg Ganja Seized in Udaipur; Two Arrested in Joint DST–Savina Police Operation | Udaipur Kiran


Udaipur, October 18 (Udaipur Kiran): In a joint operation against illegal drug trafficking, the District Special Team (DST) and Savina Police seized 8.288 kilograms of ganja and arrested two accused in Udaipur. A motorcycle used for transportation of the contraband was also confiscated.

Under the directions of District Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal, and the supervision of Additional SP (City) Umesh Ojha and Deputy SP (East) Chhagan Purohit, the operation was led by SHO Ajay Singh Raw of Savina Police Station.

The arrested accused have been identified as Ratan Singh, son of Nathulal, resident of Tekan village, Police Station Koon, District Salumber, and Govind Kumar, son of Limbaram, resident of Pemla Kui village, Police Station Bhinder, District Udaipur.

Police recovered 8 kg 288 grams of ganja, valued at approximately ₹2 lakh in the international market, from their possession. The duo was found in violation of Sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act and were immediately taken into custody.

A case has been registered under FIR No. 419/2025, and both accused are currently under police remand. Investigations are ongoing to determine how long they have been involved in the illegal drug trade and to identify other individuals connected to the network.
