Patna, July 12: The political atmosphere in Bihar has intensified over the by-elections in Bankipur and the alleged absence of Rahul Gandhi. Bihar government ministers Shravan Kumar and Mithilesh Tiwari targeted Congress and Rahul Gandhi, questioning their activities. Both leaders asserted that the NDA’s victory in the Bankipur seat is assured once again.
In a conversation, Bihar minister Shravan Kumar stated that Rahul Gandhi’s schedule is managed by his close associates. He expressed uncertainty about Gandhi’s current plans, noting that there has been no news from him for the past 20 days. He suggested that if the family and party are aware of his whereabouts, they should investigate.
Kumar emphasized that Congress should provide detailed information and answer the nation regarding this matter. He remarked that there is always a purpose behind the Prime Minister’s foreign visits, aimed at raising the country’s profile globally. He expressed pride in the Prime Minister representing India abroad.
Regarding the appointment of a CEO for the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, he stated that the government made the right decision, which will yield positive results.
On the upcoming by-election in Bankipur, Kumar mentioned that candidates from all parties will participate. He affirmed that while every party has the right to contest elections, the BJP and NDA have long held dominance in the area, and the local populace has affection for them. He predicted that the NDA candidate will win this time.
Meanwhile, Minister Mithilesh Tiwari remarked that the BJP has always won the Bankipur election and will do so again. He expressed sympathy for the rejected candidates entering the electoral fray, criticizing them as individuals who only engage in politics for tourism. He noted that these “princes” from Delhi and Bihar prefer living abroad, while he and his colleagues work among the people.
