
JAIPUR, July 1, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran) : There is relief in sight for people troubled by intense heat and humidity in Rajasthan, as the monsoon is likely to enter the state by July 3.
Due to its impact, some areas of the Kota and Udaipur divisions may receive heavy rainfall, while most districts of the state are expected to witness rainfall activity by July 6.
An alert has also been issued for strong dust-laden winds and thunderstorms in the north-eastern districts of the state between July 2 and July 4. According to the Meteorological Department, rainfall in Rajasthan during July this year is expected to remain significantly below normal.
Director of the Meteorological Centre Jaipur, Radheshyam Sharma, said that the monsoon may enter eastern parts of Rajasthan on July 2 or 3. Its impact is likely to increase thunderstorm and rainfall activity in parts of the Udaipur, Kota, Bharatpur and Jaipur divisions from July 2 onwards.
He further stated that rainfall activity may increase in some more parts of the state between July 3 and July 6. During this period, isolated places in the Kota and Udaipur divisions may receive heavy rainfall.
