Chandigarh, June 29: BJP leader Sunil Jakhar has responded to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s statement regarding Aam Aadmi Party ministers and MLAs respectfully accepting the decisions of the Akal Takht. In a conversation with a news agency, Jakhar expressed his views on social media platform ‘X’, stating that the theatrics being performed by Mann are a serious crime and a grave sin. He emphasized that while they are members of Parliament, they do not support Mann in this wrongdoing.
Jakhar further remarked that if there were any truth to Mann’s claims, he would present evidence before the Akal Takht himself, demonstrating that he had not committed any wrongdoing. He noted that the Akal Takht had previously verified videos, and they could do so again.
He accused Mann of disrespecting the Akal Takht and ridiculing it, alleging that false survey reports were created. Following this, Mann held a press conference with his ministers and later addressed the media himself, providing a detailed one-page document outlining what his MLAs should say.
According to Jakhar, Mann has committed sin upon sin, and if he were to go to the Guru and request forgiveness, it would be considered. He claimed that Mann’s continuous wrongdoings stem from his arrogance.
Jakhar concluded by stating that Mann’s time has come, and his arrogance will be shattered. He warned that the new MLAs who participated in these misdeeds would also face consequences.
