Jaya Kishori Praises Indian Cricket Team Despite World Cup Loss

Mumbai, June 29: Renowned storyteller and spiritual speaker Jaya Kishori expressed her unwavering support for the Indian women’s cricket team following their exit from the Women’s T20 World Cup after a loss to Australia. She stated that winning and losing are part of the game, but the Indian team will always be winners in her eyes.

Kishori remarked, “Whether the Indian cricket team wins or loses, I stand by my team. Whether it is the men’s or women’s team, it is India’s team, and I will always support them.”

She emphasized that she does not enjoy watching matches with people who become disappointed or angry after a loss. According to her, the true joy of sports lies in the players giving their best, even if success is not guaranteed. She noted that the opposing team also puts in hard work, and thus, the results of each match should be viewed with a balanced perspective.

Recalling her father’s teachings, Kishori mentioned that not everyone can have everything in life. It is important to find happiness in others’ joy and appreciate the efforts of one’s team.

She pointed out that players’ morale depends significantly on society’s attitude. “A lioness remains a lioness, sometimes calm and sometimes roaring, but that does not change her identity,” she said. Kishori added that if the country stands by the players, they quickly regain their confidence.

She believes that the role of people is crucial in uplifting or demoralizing players. If society provides positive support, the impact of any loss does not last long.

In addition, Kishori spoke about her recent Divine Concert held in Mumbai, which attracted a large number of attendees aged 18 to 45. She noted that this age group is where change is most needed, as they shape the direction of society. The turnout was a satisfying experience for her.

She announced plans to hold this concert in several Indian cities, including Delhi, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Lucknow, and Kolkata, with future plans to take it abroad.

Kishori aims to connect youth with spirituality through these concerts, emphasizing that joy should not depend on any substance, regardless of the circumstances.

She explained that the true meaning of devotion lies not in outward appearances but in inner connection. Genuine devotion fosters faith in God and moral values. If a person cultivates reverence for God within, they will refrain from wrongful actions.

Kishori also mentioned conducting motivational sessions in colleges, where she seeks to understand and address the problems faced by youth. She humbly stated that she does not consider herself very knowledgeable, but she shares whatever she learns.

Through storytelling, concerts, writing, and motivational speaking, Kishori strives to reach society and deliver positive messages to as many people as possible.

Regarding the Ram Temple donation controversy, she declined to comment, stating that an investigation is ongoing, and it would be appropriate to speak only after a final decision is made. She emphasized the need for caution and patience, as the matter is sensitive to religious sentiments.
