ASI Uday Singh Arrested Red-Handed Taking ₹40,000 Bribe in Bharatpur | Udaipur Kiran


Jaipur, September 29 (Udaipur Kiran): The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday caught Uday Singh, Assistant Sub-Inspector posted at Bhusawar Police Station in Bharatpur district, red-handed while accepting a bribe of ₹40,000. The trap was laid by the ACB Bharatpur unit under the supervision of ACB Headquarters.

According to Smita Srivastava, Additional Director General of Police, Anti-Corruption Bureau, the ACB Bharatpur unit received a complaint alleging that Uday Singh had demanded ₹40,000 from the complainant. The bribe was sought in exchange for preparing a favorable report in a land dispute case. The land, belonging to the complainant’s family, was under review by the SDM Bhusawar, who had sought a report from Bhusawar Police Station before taking any further decision.

Based on the complaint, the ACB team led by Amit Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police, under the supervision of DIG Rajesh Singh, carried out a trap operation today. During the operation, ASI Uday Singh was caught red-handed accepting ₹40,000 at the house of the complainant’s relative in Jhamri village under Bayana Police Station, Bharatpur district.

The accused is being interrogated, and further proceedings are underway. A case has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act, and detailed investigation will follow.
