BJP Leader Anil Jaroli’s Bail Plea Rejected by Sessions Court | Udaipur Kiran

UDAIPUR, June 3, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran) : A court on Tuesday rejected the bail application of BJP leader Anil Jaroli, who is in judicial custody in connection with a case involving allegations of attempting to rape a woman advocate and BJP leader and threatening to kill her husband in the Ghantaghar police station area of Udaipur.

According to the case investigation being conducted by Deputy Superintendent of Police Chhagan Purohit, the woman advocate and BJP leader lodged a complaint at Ghantaghar Police Station alleging that she and Anil Jaroli, son of Jeevan Kumar Jaroli and a resident of Teliyon Ka Mohalla, Bambaron, Kurabad, currently residing at Mahaveeram Apartment, Hiran Magri, had taken land on rent and started operating a garden and restaurant business.

The complaint stated that the victim’s husband became acquainted with Anil Jaroli about a year earlier, after which they jointly began operating the garden and restaurant venture on rented land. Through this association, the complainant also came into contact with Jaroli.

The complainant alleged that Jaroli had improper intentions towards her from the beginning and obtained her mobile number from someone before sending obscene messages and photographs through WhatsApp.

According to the complaint, Jaroli repeatedly sent messages regarding the partnership deed and allegedly made proposals that violated her modesty and involved unnatural acts. The complainant stated that she refused these proposals but remained silent due to social considerations.

The complaint further alleged that after allegedly exerting pressure on her, Jaroli entered her house without permission on the afternoon of June 5 last year and attempted to force himself on her without her consent. It was alleged that he tore her kurta and attempted to rape her. When she shouted for help, her husband rushed upstairs from the lower floor, following which Jaroli allegedly fled the spot and threatened to ruin the complainant and her family.

The accused moved a bail application before the court of the Additional Sessions Judge dealing with cases related to crimes against women.

During the hearing, counsel for the accused argued that he had been falsely implicated and that the matter related to mutual financial dealings rather than threats or criminal conduct.

Opposing the bail plea, Additional Public Prosecutor Prem Singh Panwar and special counsel Bharat Prajapat, appointed by the complainant, argued that the allegations included sending obscene messages, visiting the complainant’s residence with alleged criminal intent, tearing her clothes, attempting rape and causing injuries. They contended that the allegations were substantiated and that granting bail would not be justified.

After hearing arguments from both sides, Presiding Officer Mukesh Chawla of the District Judge Cadre court observed in his order that, considering the seriousness of the allegations and the increasing incidence of crimes against women, the bail application deserved to be rejected.
