Udaipur, May 28 (Udaipur Kiran) – Trouble appears to be mounting for minister Gautam Dak after an FIR was registered against him for allegedly abusing and threatening police personnel at Dungla police station in Chittorgarh district.
Dungla SHO Shaitan Singh filed the complaint and alleged that the minister used abusive language, attempted to assault police personnel and threatened them publicly.
According to the SHO, the incident took place on May 25 when minister Gautam Dak allegedly called him outside the police station. The SHO said the minister also asked constables Laxminarayan and Vishnu Kumar to come outside. As soon as the policemen reached there, the minister allegedly started abusing them without hearing their side.
Shaitan Singh stated in the FIR that the minister used objectionable language in front of common people, humiliated the police personnel and tried to intimidate them. He also alleged that the minister raised his hand in an attempt to assault them and obstructed government work.
The SHO further claimed that the minister threatened to get them transferred and ruin their careers by using his influence.
In the complaint, Shaitan Singh said that he had never faced such an incident during his police service and that the behaviour and threats caused him severe mental stress. He stated that he remained disturbed for two days, which led to a delay in filing the FIR. The complaint was lodged after informing senior officials about the entire incident.
According to the complaint, minister Gautam Dak had reached Dungla police station on May 25 and called the SHO along with two constables outside. The minister was reportedly angry over police personnel visiting the residence of one of his supporters and accused them of demanding money.
An audio recording of the conversation also surfaced, in which the minister can allegedly be heard repeatedly using abusive language and threatening the police personnel. The recording was reportedly made by a person present at the spot.
The complaint also mentioned that the minister warned the SHO publicly and allegedly told one of the constables that he would “treat” him there itself and gather people against him if needed.
