New Delhi, May 19: BJP spokesperson Shah Nawaz Hussain addressed various issues including the rise in petrol and diesel prices, claims of a Naxal-free India, the Assam police summons to Congress leader Randeep Surjewala, and incidents of stone-pelting in West Bengal.
Regarding the increase in fuel prices, he stated that the entire world is currently facing a global crisis. The closure of the Strait of Hormuz has disrupted the supply of oil, diesel, and gas, leading to increased difficulties worldwide. He described the statements made by Congress leaders as unfortunate, noting that in several countries, oil and gas prices have surged by 44%, 45%, and even 60%, while India is imposing the least burden on its citizens.
On the claims made by Home Minister Amit Shah about a Naxal-free India, he emphasized that the entire nation should appreciate Shah’s efforts. He fulfilled his promise to eradicate Naxalism within the stipulated timeframe, and the country has been successfully made Naxal-free under a well-planned strategy, creating a sense of happiness across the nation.
Commenting on the summons issued by the Assam police to Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala in connection with an alleged passport controversy involving Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s wife, he stated that anyone making false statements has the right to protect their reputation. It is natural for those who spread misinformation to receive notices.
Regarding the incidents of stone-pelting in West Bengal, he asserted that strict action will be taken against anyone attempting to engage in such activities. Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari will not tolerate such actions. The rule of law now prevails in West Bengal, and the state will operate according to the law. Any attempts to take the law into one’s own hands will be met with action.
