
Lucknow, May 13 (Udaipur Kiran) — Prateek Yadav, husband of BJP leader Aparna Yadav and son of late Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav, passed away after being admitted to a civil hospital in Lucknow following a sudden deterioration in health.
According to hospital sources, Prateek Yadav was brought to the hospital in an unconscious condition early Wednesday morning and was declared dead on arrival. Family sources said he had been unwell for the past few days and his condition worsened around dawn, after which he was taken to the hospital at around 6 AM.
Television reports suggested that the cause of death could be a heart attack or brain haemorrhage, though no official medical confirmation had been issued at the time of reporting.
The news of his demise has sent shockwaves through the political and social circles connected to the Yadav family, with supporters and relatives gathering in Lucknow following the incident.
Prateek Yadav was the son of Sadhana Gupta and remained away from active politics. He was associated with the real estate and fitness business and operated a gym named “The Fitness Planet” in Lucknow.
He had completed his MBA from University of Leeds. Prateek and Aparna Yadav, who were school-time friends, got married in December 2011 after their friendship later turned into a relationship.
Prateek Yadav had also remained in the news recently over reports related to his personal life, though later reports suggested that matters between the couple had normalised.
