Teli stated that he is committed to working for all sections of society and the development of the state.

Speaking to reporters in Guwahati, Teli remarked that Tuesday would be a historic day for Assam, as several top national leaders are expected to attend the event. “I thank the Chief Minister for entrusting me with this responsibility. Tomorrow will mark a significant day in Assam’s political journey, with PM Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and several Chief Ministers and Union Ministers participating in the ceremony,” he said.

The senior BJP leader, who recently won the Duliajan assembly seat in the Assam elections, is set to take the oath as a cabinet minister. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced his inclusion in the council of ministers on Monday.

Teli reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people of Assam and working for every community in the state. “First and foremost, I am an Assamese. Wherever I have worked, I have always tried to serve the people with utmost sincerity. I have worked for all communities and tribes, and I will continue to do so in the future,” he added.

The oath-taking ceremony of the new Assam government is scheduled for Tuesday at the Veterinary College grounds in Khanapara, on the outskirts of Guwahati. The event is expected to see the participation of PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and several Chief Ministers from the NDA.
