Udaipur, April 16 (Udaipur Kiran): Under Operation Trinetra, Udaipur Police carried out its second consecutive action at Ghasa Police Station and arrested an accused with illegal opium and a large amount of cash.
According to police officials, the action was conducted as part of the ongoing campaign against the illegal sale of narcotic substances being led under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Dr Amrita Duhan.
The joint operation was carried out under the direction of Additional Superintendent of Police Anjana Sukhwal and Assistant Superintendent of Police Ashima Vaswani. The team was led by Ghasa SHO Surendra Singh along with the ANTF Udaipur Unit.
Acting on specific information received from the ANTF unit, the police conducted a search on April 16, 2026, at a residential house in Digerkiya village.
During the search of rooms inside the house belonging to Raju, son of Fatahlal Patidar, a resident of Digerkiya under Ghasa police station limits, the team recovered 878 grams of illegal opium and cash amounting to Rs 51.65 lakh.
The seized opium and cash were taken into custody, and a case was registered. The accused, Raju Patidar, aged 25, was arrested from the spot.
Further investigation in the case is being conducted by Chandrashekhar Kilania, SHO of Fatehnagar Police Station.
