Udaipur, April 15, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): A case has been registered against a constable posted at Kurabad police station after a college student accused him of harassment, obscene acts, and blackmail.
According to police, the student lodged a complaint stating that in January 2025, she received a request on Instagram from a person identifying himself as Mukesh Chaubisa. When she did not accept the request, he began messaging her and introduced himself as a constable posted at Kurabad police station.
The accused allegedly continued messaging her regularly and pressured her into communicating. When she refused to share personal details, he reportedly threatened her, claiming he could access her information and track her location due to his position in the police.
The complainant alleged that the accused followed her when she went to college and pressured her to talk. He also allegedly threatened to implicate her father in a false case if she did not cooperate.
As per the complaint, the accused called her to a café on University Road, where he allegedly took objectionable photographs of her and later used them to blackmail her. He is also accused of repeatedly pressuring her for a physical relationship and showing her the photos and videos when she refused.
The student further alleged that the accused obtained access to her Instagram account and contacted her relatives. Another individual, identified as Mamta Ranawat, allegedly called the victim claiming to be associated with the accused and also issued threats.
The complaint states that the accused continued to threaten and blackmail her, demanding compliance and warning of social consequences if she refused.
