Udaipur, April 9, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): Udaipur Police have arrested two accused in connection with the murder of a youth named Sahil in the Ghantaghar police station area. Superintendent of Police Dr. Amrita Duhan said the incident, which took place on the night of April 7 in Bachhu Ghati, was the result of personal rivalry.

The arrested accused have been identified as Gaurav alias Bittu (32) and Mohammad Suhan alias Dyer (21). Police said three other accused — Naeem Sheikh, Kundan Kushwah, and Joyeb Khan alias Akku — are absconding and will be arrested soon.

According to the complaint filed by Jilani Khan, a resident of Ambavgarh, he along with his brother Sahil, Zeeshan, and Yusuf Khan had gone to Chetak Circle for tea. During this time, a phone call from Naeem Sheikh led to an argument with Zeeshan, during which threats were issued.

Later, when they reached Bachhu Ghati, Naeem, Kundan, and their associates attacked Sahil with a knife and an axe. Despite attempts to intervene, Sahil sustained serious injuries and was taken to MB Hospital, where he was declared dead by doctors.

Considering the seriousness of the case, multiple police teams were formed under senior officers. Teams were sent to various locations, including Nathdwara, Rajsamand, Chittorgarh, Pratapgarh, and Bhilwara, to trace the accused.

After scanning hundreds of CCTV cameras and using technical and human intelligence, police arrested Gaurav alias Bittu from Mandal in Bhilwara while he was trying to flee to Delhi in a private bus. Mohammad Suhan alias Dyer was detained from Bhinder and subsequently arrested.

During investigation, it was revealed that earlier in the evening, Joyeb Khan alias Akku had a dispute with Zeeshan. Following this, Naeem and Kundan allegedly threatened Sahil and Zeeshan over the phone and later reached Bachhu Ghati with their associates, where the हमला took place.

Police said several accused have prior criminal records, with cases related to robbery, attempt to murder, illegal arms possession, and other serious offences registered against them in different police stations of Udaipur.
