Chennai, April 7: In a surprising revelation ahead of the Tamil Nadu assembly elections, AIADMK candidate Lima Rose has emerged as the wealthiest contender in the state. Her nomination affidavit disclosed a staggering family wealth of ₹5,863 crores.

Lima Rose is contesting from the Lalgudi constituency in Tiruchirappalli district. According to her affidavit, she possesses personal movable assets worth ₹139 crores and immovable assets valued at ₹910 crores, placing her at the top among candidates with the highest assets in the elections.

A significant portion of the family’s wealth is attributed to her husband, businessman Martin, who declared movable assets of ₹3,262 crores and immovable assets of ₹887 crores. Their son, Joseph Tyson Martin, also reported substantial assets, including movable assets of ₹225 crores and immovable assets of ₹439 crores.

In terms of income, Lima Rose earned ₹9.82 crores in the last financial year, while her husband reported an income of ₹11.39 crores. They hold cash amounts of ₹5 lakhs and ₹56 lakhs, respectively.

The asset details include precious metals and gems, with Lima Rose owning 19,233 grams of gold, 1,31,813 grams of silver, 1,217 carats of diamonds, and 32 grams of platinum. Her husband has 281 grams of gold and 20,974 grams of silver, while their son possesses 326 grams of gold and 60,380 grams of silver (including jewelry).

Educationally, Lima Rose has stated that she completed only up to the 6th grade at a government school in Thiruvana. She also revealed that there are four criminal cases pending against her.

These details have been made public as part of mandatory election procedures and are likely to attract public attention as the election campaign intensifies in Tamil Nadu.
