Jaipur, March 27 (Udaipur Kiran): A major weather change is expected across Rajasthan, with a yellow alert issued for March 29 for all districts of the state.

According to the alert, strong dust storms, thunderstorm activity, lightning, and rainfall are likely to occur across Rajasthan. The system is expected to impact the entire state simultaneously, which may affect normal life.

The department has issued a yellow alert for March 29 in districts including Ajmer, Alwar, Banswara, Baran, Beawar, Bharatpur, Bhilwara, Bundi, Chittorgarh, Dausa, Deeg, Dholpur, Dungarpur, Jaipur, Jhalawar, Jhunjhunu, Karauli, Khairthal-Tijara, Kota, Kotputli-Behror, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, Salumber, Sawai Madhopur, Sikar, Sirohi, Tonk, Udaipur, Balotra, Barmer, Bikaner, Churu, Didwana-Kuchaman, Hanumangarh, Jaisalmer, Jalore, Jodhpur, Nagaur, Pali, Phalodi and Sri Ganganagar.

As per the Meteorological Department, weather activity will begin on March 26 with light rain and thunder in Bikaner, Ganganagar, Hanumangarh and nearby areas, while most parts of the state will remain dry.

From March 27, the impact will increase in eastern Rajasthan, with chances of rain at several places in Jaipur, Bharatpur and Kota divisions, and scattered rainfall in Bikaner division.

On March 28, the system will become more active, with rainfall likely at many places in Jaipur and Ajmer divisions, along with thunderstorms and strong winds in Bikaner and Jodhpur divisions.

March 29 is expected to be the most sensitive day, with widespread impact of strong winds, lightning, and rain across Jodhpur, Bikaner, Ajmer, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Udaipur, and Kota divisions. In view of this, a yellow alert has been issued for the entire state.

Weather conditions are likely to remain active on March 30 as well, with rain expected at several places in Jaipur, Bharatpur, Kota, Ajmer and Udaipur divisions, while some areas in Bikaner and Jodhpur divisions may receive light to moderate rainfall.

Due to this change, a drop in temperature is expected, bringing relief from the heat.
