New Delhi, February 27, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): In a major boost for Team India ahead of the crucial Super-8 match against the West Indies, star batter Rinku Singh is set to rejoin the squad on Saturday in Kolkata.
Top sources confirmed that Rinku will link up with the Indian team on February 28. India are scheduled to face the West Indies in an important Super-8 encounter, with the winner advancing to the semi-finals.
Rinku’s return comes after the demise of his father, Khanchand, who passed away on Friday morning due to liver cancer. He had been admitted to Yatharth Hospital in Greater Noida on February 21 after his condition deteriorated and was placed on ventilator support. He breathed his last in the early hours of Friday.
