Udaipur Traders Rally Behind ‘Udaipur Ka Paisa Udaipur Mein’ Campaign

UDAIPUR’s traders and residents have come together with renewed enthusiasm under the ‘Udaipur Ka Paisa Udaipur Mein’ campaign, led by the Mewar Bachao Manch. Now in its second phase, the initiative is encouraging local buying and reviving pride in the city’s markets.

With the slogan “Hum Online Se Behtar Hain,” the campaign reached out door-to-door in Sector 14 and Savina Market. Traders and citizens alike expressed strong support and committed to making the movement a success by choosing local businesses over online options. Earlier, awareness drives were conducted in markets of Aayad, Pahada, and Sector 4.

Abhishek Pandey, founder and president of Mewar Bachao Manch, emphasized that the campaign is not just about saving markets but about promoting local self-reliance, restoring trust, and building personal connections. He said, “Our aim is to show that local traders offer not only better prices but also respect, smiles, and genuine relationships to customers.”

Rakesh Jain, president of Sector 14/Savina Market Association, shared concerns over the negative impact of online and instant apps on local trade. He assured full support to the campaign and announced plans to organise a special workshop for traders soon.

During this phase, the campaign featured stickers with the slogan “Vyapari 2.0: Daam Kam, Samman Zyada” to encourage people to engage with local businesses. Volunteers like Chirag Meghwal and Mayank Jani actively participated in spreading the message.

This inspiring movement is sending a powerful message across Udaipur: “When we buy from our city, our city progresses.” What began as a business initiative has grown into a social movement, connecting every Udaipur resident with their land, markets, and people.
