
UDAIPUR (Udaipur Kiran): Police have arrested three women for committing theft at the under-construction house of Udaipur Member of Parliament Mannalal Rawat.
Sub-Inspector Arjunlal said that Neeraj Agrawal, son of Ramchandra Agrawal and resident of Sector-9, Savina, lodged a complaint stating that he works as a watchman at the under-construction house of MP Mannalal Rawat located in H Block. On the night of January 31, he was sleeping in a house opposite the MP’s building, which has been taken on rent by Mannalal Rawat.
On the morning of February 1 at around 9 am, when he checked the under-construction house, he found that seven tap diverters, one cutter machine and the wire of one breaker machine had been stolen during the night by unknown persons.
Following the complaint, police registered a case and checked CCTV footage from nearby areas. Based on information received, it was found that the theft had been carried out by women residing in Indra Colony who are engaged in scrap collection work.
The police team arrested Bhawana alias Kali, wife of Mahendra Kalbelia, resident of Indra Colony; Geeta alias Bichhiya, wife of Ganesh Kalbelia, resident of Indra Colony and presently residing at Zinc Smelter, Debari; and Jashoda alias Galla Kalbelia, resident of Indra Colony. Stolen items including seven tap diverters, one cutter machine and the wire of one hammer machine were recovered from their possession.
