Sapta Shakti Command Honours Gallantry and Excellence


The SAPTA SHAKTI COMMAND investiture ceremony was held with full military grandeur at the Sapta Shakti Auditorium, Jaipur Military Station on 9 January 2026. The event was presided over by Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, Army Commander of Sapta Shakti Command.

This annual ceremony recognises officers, Junior Commissioned Officers, and soldiers who have demonstrated exceptional courage, leadership, and selfless service to the nation. The occasion was attended by officers and personnel of the Sapta Shakti Command, veterans, and the proud families of the awardees.

During the ceremony, six Sena Medals for Gallantry, one Sena Medal for Distinguished Service, one Yudh Seva Medal, and two Vishisht Seva Medals were awarded to deserving personnel in recognition of individual acts of gallantry and outstanding devotion to duty. Additionally, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief South Western Command Unit Citations were presented to 17 units for their exceptional performance and professional excellence.

Four Veteran Achievers and three civilian administration officials were also honoured for their distinguished contributions. Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh extended his heartfelt congratulations to all awardees and their families, praising their exemplary gallantry, dedication, and professionalism.

The Army Commander acknowledged the achievements of the Sapta Shakti Command and its units, particularly highlighting their role in Operation Sindoor. He urged all ranks to uphold the highest traditions of the Indian Army and remain committed to serving the nation. He also interacted with the award winners and their families, appreciating the sacrifices and support that form the foundation of the Indian Army’s legacy of valour and honour.

The Investiture Ceremony reaffirmed the Indian Army’s commitment to recognising merit, courage, and excellence, inspiring all ranks to emulate the finest ideals of military service.
