Hina Khan Struggles with Breathing Due to Mumbai’s Rising Pollution

Mumbai, India’s financial capital, is known for its fast-paced life and vibrant culture. However, in recent years, the city has seen a continuous decline in air quality, affecting the daily lives of its residents. The impact of pollution is not limited to the general public; celebrities too are facing health challenges because of it.

Popular TV actress Hina Khan recently shared on social media that the worsening pollution in Mumbai is seriously affecting her health. She revealed that she is experiencing difficulty in breathing and persistent coughing due to the poor air quality.

“Because of Mumbai’s deteriorating air, I am finding it hard to breathe. The constant cough caused by pollution is taking a toll on my health. Fighting breast cancer makes this even more challenging for me,” Hina Khan said.

She further added that the polluted air has limited her ability to step outside and engage in physical activities, affecting her routine daily life.

To highlight the severity of the situation, Hina shared a screenshot of Mumbai’s Air Quality Index (AQI) on her Instagram stories, which showed a reading of 209. This level indicates ‘poor’ air quality.

In her caption, she wrote, “What is happening? I am unable to breathe. I have reduced going outside. Coughing continuously. The condition has been very bad since morning.”

Earlier, Hina Khan had openly discussed her tough battle with cancer on actress Soha Ali Khan’s podcast ‘All About Her.’ She described the hardships of her treatment, which involved chemotherapy every three weeks. She explained the intense pain during the first week of chemo, while the remaining two weeks allowed her to try and live a normal life with her family and loved ones.

“Perspective is very important. When people learn they have a serious illness, they often feel their life is over. I thought the same initially. But after going through it, I realized that life has both bad and painful days, as well as good days where you live normally among your family and love. This balance is the beauty of life,” Hina reflected on her experience.
