Udaipur Kiran: Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed the concluding ceremony of the ‘Tamizham Thalai Nimira Tamilin Payanam Yatra’ in Pudukottai, Tamil Nadu. He confidently stated that the NDA government will be formed in Tamil Nadu in 2026.
Shah appealed to the people of Tamil Nadu to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for INDIA’s development journey, emphasizing the importance of Tamil Nadu’s participation in this progress.
He assured party workers and the public that the NDA, in alliance with AIADMK and other partners, would contest the upcoming elections against Congress and DMK. Shah criticised the DMK government, calling it the most corrupt in the country and accusing it of failure on all fronts.
According to him, the DMK government has fulfilled the least number of promises from its manifesto. He claimed that the sole aim of the Tamil Nadu government under DMK is to make Stalin’s son, Udhayanidhi Stalin, the Chief Minister, highlighting the need to end dynastic politics in the state.
Shah pointed out the sequence of leadership from Karunanidhi to Stalin and now Udhayanidhi, stating that Stalin’s dream will not be realised. He reiterated that the NDA government would take charge in Tamil Nadu by April 2026.
He described the AIADMK-BJP alliance as a natural partnership, recalling their past collaborations in the 1998, 2019, and 2021 elections.
Addressing misconceptions, Shah said Stalin had wrongly spread the idea that the NDA opposes the Tamil language. He cited initiatives by Prime Minister Modi, such as conducting IAS and IPS exams in Tamil before Sanskrit and establishing the Subramania Bharathi Chair for Tamil studies at Banaras Hindu University.
Shah also mentioned the PM’s efforts to translate the classic Tamil text Tirukkural into 13 languages.
He accused the DMK government of turning Tamil Nadu into a dumping ground, with waste from other states polluting the state’s sacred rivers. Shah criticised the government for allegedly disrespecting Hindu religion and traditions.
He claimed that the DMK has insulted Hindus repeatedly, citing an unofficial curfew in Tamil Nadu during the Ram Temple foundation ceremony in Ayodhya. He also referenced senior DMK leaders equating Sanatan Dharma with diseases like dengue and malaria, and the government’s imposition of stays on Hindu idol immersion ceremonies.
