Bihar BSSC Announces 24,492 Government Vacancies for Intermediate Pass Candidates


Bihar Government has opened a golden opportunity for youth who have passed intermediate. The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has announced a massive recruitment drive under the Second Inter Level Combined Competitive Examination, offering 24,492 vacancies across various posts including Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Panchayat Secretary, and Revenue Clerk.

The number of vacancies has been increased from the initial 23,175 to 24,492. Candidates who have already applied do not need to reapply. Reservation benefits will be available only to permanent residents of Bihar state.

Key Posts and Vacancies:

Lower Division Clerk (LDC): 15,989 posts with 6,793 unreserved vacancies across various departments and districts.

Revenue Clerk: 3,559 posts with 1,643 unreserved vacancies in the Revenue and Land Reforms Department.

Panchayat Secretary: 3,532 posts with 1,746 unreserved vacancies in the Panchayati Raj Department.

Animal Assistant: 549 posts in the Animal and Fisheries Resources Department.

Junior Regional Investigation Officer: 534 posts in the Directorate of Economics and Statistics.

Other posts include Filaria Inspector, Jansevak Grade-III, Seed Production Assistant, Mobile Staff, Typist Clerk, and Assistant Instructor.

Pay Scale:

LDC, Animal Assistant, Revenue Clerk: ₹19,900 to ₹63,200

Panchayat Secretary, Junior RIO: ₹21,700 to ₹69,100

Filaria Inspector, Jansevak Grade-III: ₹25,500 to ₹81,100

Eligibility and Age Limit:

Minimum Qualification: Intermediate (12th pass) from a recognized board.

For Jansevak Grade-III, candidates must have passed intermediate with Mathematics.

Knowledge of Hindi and English typing on computer is mandatory.

Minimum Age: 18 years

Maximum Age: 37 years as of 1st August 2025

Age Relaxation:

BC/EBC and Women: 3 years

SC/ST: 5 years

Persons with Disabilities: 10 years

Skill Test

If more than 40,000 candidates apply, the preliminary exam will be mandatory. The exam may be conducted in multiple phases if required.
