Mumbai, 16 December (Udaipur Kiran) — Shares of PVR INOX climbed sharply on Tuesday after the company announced the launch of an 11-screen Superplex at Inorbit Mall, Cyberabad — the first of its kind in Hyderabad.

The stock was trading at Rs. 1095.70, up 4.18% from its previous close of Rs. 1051.75. It opened at Rs. 1060.75 and touched an intraday high of Rs. 1133.55. A total of 50,935 shares were traded on the counter. The scrip has a 52-week high of Rs. 1539.10 and a 52-week low of Rs. 825.65.

Over the last week, the stock recorded a high of Rs. 1133.55 and a low of Rs. 1044.80. PVR INOX’s current market capitalisation stands at Rs. 10,759.77 crore. Promoters hold 27.53%, while institutional and non-institutional investors hold 57.15% and 15.32% respectively.

PVR INOX said it has expanded its existing 6-screen property at Inorbit Mall into Hyderabad’s first-ever Superplex, adding five new screens to take the total to 11 — the highest number of auditoriums under one roof in the city.

The Superplex features three premium formats:

• PXL (first in Telangana): 55-foot-wide screen, RGB laser projection, Dolby Atmos sound and recliner seating

• Luxe: Soft recliners, warm interiors and a chef-led menu

• 4DX: Motion seats and immersive effects including wind, fog, scent, water and snow

These premium formats, along with the mainstream screens, offer enhanced visual clarity, steady sound and improved comfort aimed at families, young viewers and professionals.

The cinema foyer has been revamped with a bright, youthful design featuring pastel greens, digital artwork and relaxed seating. The Luxe lounge includes curated furniture, an open kitchen and a pool table.

Across its 11 screens, the Superplex offers 1,368 seats, comprising 210 PXL seats, 107 Luxe seats, 104 4DX seats and 947 mainstream seats.

With this launch, PVR INOX has strengthened its presence in South India and added a new entertainment landmark to Cyberabad, bringing scale, premium formats and elevated hospitality to moviegoers.
