New Delhi, 13 December (Udaipur Kiran) – Union Minister for Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju has urged pilgrims planning to undertake the Haj pilgrimage through private operators to complete their bookings early. He emphasized choosing only authorised Haj Group Organisers (HGOs) and Private Tour Operators (PTOs) for a smooth travel experience.
The minister highlighted that booking by 15 January next year will help pilgrims avoid last-minute difficulties. The government has issued a circular advising all Haj travellers for 2026 to finalise their bookings on or before this date.
Sharing the circular, Kiren Rijiju said timely booking will ensure a well-organised and hassle-free journey for the pilgrims. He also advised travellers to verify the authorisation status of HGOs or PTOs before making any booking. It is important to check the operator’s registration status and the quota allotted to them to carry passengers.
The advisory further states that the deadline for finalising accommodation and service contracts in Saudi Arabia is 1 February 2026. This will allow authorised operators to arrange hotels and transportation for the pilgrims well in advance.
