Team India won the toss and opted to bowl first, but South Africa posted a strong total of 213 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Opener Quinton de Kock was the star performer for the visitors, scoring a brilliant 90. He was run out by wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma.
For India, spinner Varun Chakravarthy picked up two wickets, while Axar Patel claimed one. De Kock’s dismissal came through a run-out.
