Jaipur, 9 December (Udaipur Kiran) – The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) team from Kota arrested Atul Singh, Assistant Manager of Rajasthan Rural Bank, Ayana branch in Kota district, for accepting a bribe of forty thousand rupees on Tuesday.
According to Police Director General Govind Gupta, ACB Kota received a complaint stating that a borrower had applied for a housing construction loan at Rajasthan Rural Bank, Ayana, Kota. The approved loan amount was Rs 24.50 lakh, of which the first installment of Rs 8 lakh was received in September. However, for the second installment of Rs 8 lakh, Assistant Manager Atul Singh demanded a bribe of Rs 1 lakh.
Verification of the complaint confirmed that the accused demanded Rs 40,000 as a bribe. Acting on this, the ACB team led by Additional Superintendent of Police Vijay Swarnkar conducted a trap and arrested Atul Singh while accepting the bribe.
