
Prayagraj, December 8 (Udaipur Kiran) – A licensed revolver has gone missing from the police store at Naini Kotwali in Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh. The police have registered a case against the dismissed head clerk and initiated an investigation, police deputy commissioner Vivek Chandra Yadav informed on Monday.
According to the statement, the case was filed under Section 409 of the IPC on the complaint of Naini Kotwali’s in-charge inspector Braj Kishore Gautam. The accused, dismissed head clerk Rajendra Prasad, son of Bhagauti Prasad, was responsible for maintaining the police store. Rajendra Prasad is a resident of Bakarganj village in the West Sharira police station area of Kaushambi district.
The deputy commissioner of police, Yamunanagar, said a special team has been formed to investigate the missing licensed revolver. Evidence, documents, and proofs are being thoroughly examined. The case is considered very serious, and strict action will be taken against the guilty.
