
Jaipur, Sunday, 07 December 2025 (Udaipur Kiran). The Sapta Shakti Command organised a grand Honour Run in Jaipur on 7 December 2025, paying heartfelt tribute to the brave soldiers and veterans of the Indian Armed Forces. The event symbolised courage, resilience, and national pride, attracting enthusiastic participation from all sections of society.
The run began at the historic Albert Hall Museum and passed through the vibrant streets of JLN Marg, unfolding on a cold but energetic morning. Veterans, serving soldiers, NCC cadets, professional runners, para-athletes, family members, and citizens took part with great zeal and determination, inspiring all present.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma flagged off the 10-kilometre and 5-kilometre runs, while Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, Army Commander of Sapta Shakti Command, inaugurated the 21-kilometre run in the presence of senior officials. The presence of dignitaries boosted the morale of participants and highlighted the significance of honouring veterans.
In his address, the Army Commander encouraged participants by dedicating every step taken to the courageous soldiers who sacrificed their lives defending the nation’s borders. The Chief Minister emphasised that the Honour Run is not just a race but a symbol of patriotism, honouring the valour, bravery, and sacrifice of the country’s protectors from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
The mega event featured timed runs of 21 km, 10 km, and 5 km with a total prize money of ₹22.7 lakh. This initiative promoted fitness, mass participation, and excellent performance. Prior activities such as the Promotional Run, Curtain Raiser, and BIB Expo generated considerable excitement in the city. Notably, the inspiring participation of para-athletes and veterans demonstrated strong human spirit and determination.
The event concluded with exuberance, reflecting Jaipur residents’ respect, pride, and unity towards the armed forces. Serving as a prelude to the upcoming Army Day Parade 2026 in Jaipur, the Honour Run reminded everyone of soldiers’ sacrifices while motivating citizens to embrace values like courage, discipline, service, and resilience.
