Alleged Journalist Arrested for Aiding Illegal Mining Trucks in Banda | Udaipur Kiran


Banda, December 6 (Daily Kiran) – Banda police achieved a significant breakthrough in their ongoing campaign against illegal mining and transportation activities. The police arrested a man accused of pressuring officials to allow trucks loaded with illegal morum and gravel to pass, abusing duty officers, and threatening them with violence.

The arrested individual has been identified as Alok Garg, son of Rambalak Garg, a resident of the town and police station area of Atrra in Banda district. He allegedly posed as a journalist and provided locations of mining department and police teams to those involved in illegal mining.

According to reports, on the night of December 5, 2025, in the no-entry zone of Atrra town, Alok Garg pressured a police officer on duty to allow trucks carrying illegal minerals to pass through. When the officer resisted, Garg resorted to physical assault, verbal abuse, and threats to kill. Following this incident, a case was registered against him at the Atrra police station.

Today, Saturday, the Atrra police arrested Alok Garg in connection with the case.

Additional Superintendent of Police Shivraj stated that Banda police are working closely with relevant departments to take strict action against those involved in illegal mining and transportation. He issued a clear warning that anyone supporting or protecting illegal mining activities will face stringent legal consequences.
