
Mumbai, December 5. The Bollywood Hungama OTT India Fest and India Entertainment Awards were recently held, honouring some of the biggest names from the OTT and film industry.
During the event, actress Sanya Malhotra won the Best Actress title for her film ‘Mrs’. Expressing her joy, the actress posted pictures on Instagram, writing, “Thursday night your girl won the title for ‘Mrs’. I am very grateful for all your love that has showered on our films. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for embracing the film ‘Mrs’ in this way.”
Sanya’s post is receiving a shower of congratulations from fans and celebrities. Actor Siddhant Chaturvedi reacted with a heart emoji.
Actress Sanya, who started her career with Aamir Khan’s film Dangal, made a deep impact on audiences with her 2025 release ‘Mrs’. The film entertained while also delivering a profound message. The story revolves around the everyday life of a woman who moves to her in-laws’ house after marriage.
The film shows how a woman named Richa wants to fulfil her dreams along with her family responsibilities, but gets trapped in household chores due to the rules and regulations at her in-laws’ house. At the end of the film, she breaks these bonds and starts her life by fulfilling her dreams. This story is a Hindi remake of the Malayalam film ‘The Great Indian Kitchen’.
The film was directed by Aarti Kadav, with the screenplay written by Harman Baweja, Anu Singh Choudhary, and Aarti herself. Besides Sanya, the film featured Avi Thakral and Nishant Dahiya in key roles.
