Bengaluru, December 5 (Udaipur Kiran) – Due to technical and operational disruptions in IndiGo Airlines flights, a total of 102 flights were cancelled on Friday at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport. These included 50 departure flights and 52 arrival flights. Additionally, more than 30 flights were delayed, causing significant inconvenience to passengers.
Angry passengers whose flights were suddenly cancelled staged protests at IndiGo counters. To prevent the situation from going out of control, additional police forces have been deployed at the airport with tight security arrangements in place.
Due to flight delays, the shortage of passengers was clearly visible at arrival gates, and areas that are usually crowded appeared deserted today. The lack of passengers has created a situation where taxi drivers are struggling to collect fares. BMTC collections have also seen a major decline over the past three days, forcing bus drivers to wait for passengers.
