Udaipur, December 2 (Udaipur Kiran): It is a matter of great pride for Udaipur city and the entire school community that Mitansh Sahu, a Class 10 student of MDS Senior Secondary School, Udaipur, has achieved remarkable success in chess by excelling at the district, state and national selection levels.

Mitansh began his competitive journey at the district-level chess tournament, where he secured fourth position through strong strategy and patient gameplay. Based on this achievement, he was selected to represent the district at the state-level championship.

At the state level, Mitansh showcased even stronger performance. With precise moves and deep strategic thinking, he secured third position and earned selection for the prestigious National Training Camp.

At the National Camp, where India’s top young chess players receive advanced training, Mitansh demonstrated discipline, focus and high-level strategic skills. On the basis of his outstanding performance there, he has now been selected to participate in the National Chess Championship, which will be held in Bengaluru in the coming days.

It is noteworthy that Mitansh comes from a family with a strong chess background. Both his grandfather and father have been associated with the game, which has played an important role in inspiring and shaping his chess journey from an early age.

Congratulating Mitansh on this achievement, MDS Director Dr. Shailendra Somani lauded his hard work, dedication and continuous progress. He wished him a bright future and success at the national level.
