Interstate Burglary Gang Busted by Savina Police, Two Accused Arrested | Udaipur Kiran


Udaipur, November 29 (Udaipur Kiran): Savina Police have arrested two members of an interstate burglary gang involved in multiple theft cases. The action was taken in connection with a house-breaking case reported on November 4, 2025.

According to the complaint filed by Deepak Jain, a resident of Govind Nagar Sector-13, gold jewellery and cash were stolen from his house by unknown persons. On this report, FIR No. 429/2025 was registered under Sections 331(3) and 305(A) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and investigation was initiated.

On the directions of Udaipur Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal to crack down on property-related crimes, a special team was constituted under the supervision of Additional SP Umesh Ojha and DySP Chhagan Purohit, City East Circle. The team, led by Savina SHO Ajay Singh Rao, conducted technical surveillance and examined CCTV footage around the crime scene. The vehicle used in the crime was identified through footage.

Following the trail of CCTV cameras, the police tracked the accused through Udaipur, Salumber, Banswara, Ratlam, Guna and Gwalior, and finally reached Delhi. After nearly ten days of continuous surveillance in Delhi, changing disguises and scanning footage across multiple locations, the police detained and arrested the following two accused on November 28, 2025:

  1. Faizan, son of Mohammad Naushe, resident of Utwelpur, Chandausi, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, presently residing at Kotla Village, Mayur Vihar, East Delhi.

  2. Rahul Valmiki, son of Harichand Panwadi, resident of Mini Market Jhuggi, 26 Block Police Station area, Delhi, currently residing in Trilokpuri, Kotla, New Delhi.

During interrogation, the arrested accused confessed that they committed the burglary along with their associates Amit Gupta alias Amit Bihari, resident of Bihar, presently staying in Mayur Vihar Phase-3, Delhi, and Lalla Gupta, resident of Sirmapur, Delhi.

Police are interrogating the arrested accused to ascertain the duration of their criminal activities, their involvement in other theft cases and the role of other associates. Both accused are currently in police custody.

Modus Operandi

The gang used to travel from Delhi by car, change the vehicle’s number plate at different locations, and survey deserted houses during daytime. After confirming that a house was locked, they would break in using tools and commit theft. After the crime, they again changed the number plate and moved to another location. The accused projected themselves as successful businessmen in their local area, while their main occupation was burglary.

Crimes Admitted by the Accused

  1. Theft in a deserted house at Govind Nagar Sector-13.

  2. Another theft in the same area about six to seven months ago.

  3. Theft in two deserted houses at Kaushalya Apartment, Aditya Vihar, Chitrakoot Nagar Police Station, Jaipur.

  4. Theft in a deserted house at Mansarovar, Narayan Vihar Police Station, Jaipur.

Wanted Accused

  1. Amit Gupta alias Amit Bihari, resident of Bihar, presently in Mayur Vihar Phase-3, Delhi.

  2. Lalla Gupta, resident of Sirmapur, Delhi.

Police said several previous burglary and theft cases are also registered against the arrested accused in Delhi NCR and other locations. Further investigation is in progress.
