IndiGo Resets 80% of A320 Fleet, Air India 40% After Software Update | Udaipur Kiran


New Delhi, November 29 (Udaipur Kiran): IndiGo and Air India on Saturday said that work is progressing rapidly on mandatory software and hardware realignment of Airbus A320 family aircraft, in line with the directions of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and Airbus.

In a post on X, IndiGo said that its engineering team has already completed the mandatory Airbus safety update on 160 out of 200 AIB-authorised A320 family aircraft, which is about 80 percent of its affected fleet. The airline said its teams worked through the night to carry out the update.

IndiGo also stated that continuous efforts are being made to minimise delays and maintain zero cancellations so that passengers’ travel plans are not disrupted. The airline assured that the remaining aircraft will also be fully compliant within the stipulated timeline.

Meanwhile, Air India also shared an update on X, stating that it is giving the highest priority to safety and that its engineers are working round the clock to complete the mandatory software and hardware realignment as per EASA and Airbus instructions.

The airline said that it has already reset more than 40 percent of the affected aircraft and is confident of covering the entire fleet within the EASA-prescribed timeline.

Air India clarified that no flights have been cancelled for this work. However, some flights have been delayed or rescheduled. Passengers have been advised to check the latest flight status on the airline’s official website.
