Zomato and Blinkit Organise Camp in Delhi to Link Delivery Partners with Government Schemes | Udaipur Kiran

New Delhi, November 28 (Udaipur Kiran): India’s leading food ordering and delivery platform Zomato and quick commerce platform Blinkit organised the third ‘Government Scheme Facilitation Camp’ in the national capital under their nationwide campaign. The initiative aims to provide delivery partners with easy, streamlined and effective access to key welfare schemes of the Central and State governments.

Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Minhaj Ahmed, attended the camp as the chief guest. After similar camps in Bengaluru and Mumbai, more than 340 delivery partners were assisted in enrolling for various Central and State government schemes at the Delhi on-ground camp. Delivery partners showed keen interest in schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (health insurance), ration card, e-Shram (centralised database of unorganised workers), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (life insurance), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (personal accident insurance) and the Karnataka State Gig Workers Insurance Scheme.

Deputy Secretary Minhaj Ahmed said the initiative by Zomato and Blinkit is enabling delivery partners to access important schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and key platforms like e-Shram, which are essential for them. He said such camps play a significant role in extending social security to more families who genuinely deserve it and expressed hope that more delivery partners across the country would continue enrolling under these schemes.

Eternal’s Chief Sustainability Officer, Anjali Ravi Kumar, said that the welfare of delivery partners has always been at the core of Eternal’s efforts. She said the Government Scheme Facilitation Camp has proved to be an important bridge between delivery partners and government welfare schemes and that the company continues to learn from such outreach initiatives and improve them in collaboration with its partners.

Umavati, a Zomato delivery partner for the past three years, said she was able to easily register for benefits such as Ayushman Bharat, pension and e-Shram Card. She said these benefits would be extremely useful for her and her family and have given her a sense of security and stability. She also said that the camp organised by Zomato and Blinkit made the entire process very simple and easy to understand.

Haqdaarshak Vice President (Product) Manoj Joshi said their collaboration with Zomato and Blinkit is playing an important role in making welfare schemes accessible at scale. Through Haqdaarshak’s digital platform and eligibility verification engine, they are combining technology and human support to make the benefit access process faster and simpler for delivery partners. He added that their experience shows delivery partners seek comprehensive security coverage, including combined benefits of health, accident and life insurance.
