
Udaipur, November 28, 2025 (Udaipur Kiran): Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur, held its 68th Academic Council meeting on November 28, 2025, at the university secretariat under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Dr Pratap Singh.
The main agenda of the meeting focused on key decisions regarding the degrees and gold medals to be awarded at the upcoming convocation ceremony. It was decided that for the first time from this year, the Vice Chancellor’s Gold Medal will be awarded to the undergraduate student who secures the highest marks with the best overall performance at the university.
A total of 934 students from the faculties of Agriculture, Engineering, and Community and Applied Sciences will be awarded undergraduate degrees. Additionally, 171 students will receive postgraduate degrees and 76 students will be conferred with the Vidya Vachaspati (PhD) degree.
For outstanding performance, 14 undergraduate students, 22 postgraduate students and two Vidya Vachaspati scholars will be honoured with gold medals. Apart from these, Jain Irrigation Institute will award gold medals to two students, while one student each will receive gold medals in memory of Phool Singh Rathore and Brigadier Anil Adlakha. One Chancellor’s Gold Medal will also be awarded to a student of the Community and Applied Sciences College for exceptional performance.
Members of the Academic Council including Dr R.L. Soni, Dr Dhriti Solanki, Dr Manoj Kumar Mahala, Dr R.P. Meena, Dr Ram Hari Meena, Dr Lokesh Gupta, Dr Sunil Joshi, Dr L.L. Panwar and others were present at the meeting. Nominated member Dr Chandeshwar Tiwari, Professor and former Director of Education Extension, and a renowned agricultural educationist from VCSG Horticulture and Forestry University, Bharsar (Uttarakhand), attended the meeting virtually.
At the end of the meeting, Registrar Ashok Kumar expressed gratitude and thanks to all the members present.
