Gita Recitations Mark Vivah Panchami in Udaipur | Udaipur Kiran


Udaipur, November 26 (Udaipur Kiran): Under the 45-day Gita Jayanti Mahotsav–2025 being organised on the occasion of Mokshada Ekadashi on December 1, the Gita Parivar, Udaipur, held a grand spiritual programme on Tuesday at the premises of Ram Temple, Gadiya Devra, Ramghat, Pichola, on the sacred occasion of Bhagwan Ram–Janaki Vivah Panchami.

On this occasion, Gita practitioners collectively recited Chapters 12, 15 and 16 of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita. Devotees also performed soulful recitations of the Sundarkand and Hanuman Chalisa, creating a divine atmosphere at the venue.

Programme coordinator Purnima Vyas informed that the chief guest was Santosh Didi, disciple of Govind Giri Ji Maharaj and a noted Gita scholar. The programme was chaired by social worker Sampat Lal Maheshwari. Lakshmi Narayan Dashora and Learn Gita Parivar’s प्रचारक member Gopal Kaneria were present as special guests.

Addressing the gathering, chief guest Santosh Didi spoke on the glory of the Gita and said that Vivah Panchami is a sacred festival that reminds people of the divine marital union of Bhagwan Ram and Mata Sita, and inspires society towards righteousness, dignity and an ideal way of life.

She also informed that Gita Jayanti will be celebrated with great enthusiasm on December 1 at Gita Ramayan Seva Sangh, Bhopalpura, where a procession, quiz, Gita recitation, Gita contemplation and various spiritual programmes will be organised.

Melodious devotional bhajans presented by the Gita practitioners on the occasion of Vivah Panchami made the atmosphere deeply devotional. Devotees danced joyfully to the bhajans and the entire परिसर was filled with divine energy.

On this occasion, Gita vrat followers Sushila Lahoti, Raju Shrimali, Hansraj Dave, Navneet Bhatt, Devendra Shrimali, Suryakant Kachoria, Girdhari Lal Barhat, Vishnu Shankar Paliwal, Saraswati Maheshwari and a large number of Gita practitioners were present.
