Tilam Sangh Kota GM Caught Taking Rs 30,000 Bribe | Udaipur Kiran


Jaipur, November 26 (Udaipur Kiran): Acting on the directions of the ACB Headquarters, the ACB Chowki Baran unit on Wednesday arrested Tilam Sangh Kota General Manager Ramesh Chandra Bairagi red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000 from the complainant.

According to the Anti-Corruption Bureau, the accused had demanded a total bribe of Rs 1,45,000 in exchange for allotting the minimum support price purchase centre at Palyatha in Baran district. This included Rs 1,00,000 for the allotment and Rs 45,000 at the rate of Rs 1 per sack for 45,000 sacks of wheat purchased last year.

ACB Director General of Police Govind Gupta said a complaint was received by the ACB Chowki Baran regarding the demand of the bribe amount. Following this, under the supervision of Kota Range Deputy Inspector General Anand Sharma and under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police Kalu Ram Verma, a trap was laid by ACB Baran under TLO Deputy Superintendent of Police Premchand along with the team.

During the trap, the accused Ramesh Chandra Bairagi accepted Rs 30,000 from the complainant Dhannalal and kept the amount in the front left pocket of his jacket. The amount was recovered from his possession and the accused was detained for questioning.

Under the supervision of Additional Director General of Police Smita Srivastava, interrogation of the accused and search of his residence are underway. A case has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act and further investigation is in progress.
